Bullfrog Power

Renewable Energy Provider

Bullfrog Power is a Canadian business with a conscience. The organization’s mission is to provide Canadians with easy and practical 100% renewable energy solutions for their homes, businesses and transportation that empower them to create a sustainable world for future generations. A double-bottom line organization, Bullfrog Power donates 10% of its profits to organizations that support sustainability. In Bullfrog’s view, this is business as it should be—good for society as well as its shareholders.

Bullfrog's green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogoM program—instead of from polluting sources like coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear. A clean, renewable alternative to fossil-fuel based natural gas, Bullfrog's green natural gas is produced in Canada from biogas facilities that have met strict environmental criteria as defined by ICF International. By choosing Bullfrog Power's green energy, homes and businesses can reduce their environmental impact, support the development of new renewable generation in Canada and help to create a cleaner world for today and tomorrow.

Peace Power

Electricity, Natural Gas, & Green Energy Provider

Peace Power believes all power and gas consumers deserve affordable rates, the highest in customer service, and the opportunity to lower their carbon footprint on their monthly utility bill while greening the electricity grid at the same time. Their mission is to provide Alberta's best utility experience through a combination of price, sustainability, customer service, flexibility, convenience, information, education, and transparency. Peace Power is very proud of their triple-bottom line approach, whereby they not only provide savings to their customers of typically 10 - 20% but also donate 10% of annual profits to local community initiatives. Community, as well as accountability and efficiency, is truly at the core of their business philosophy.

While currently 17% of Alberta's electricity generation capacity comes from renewables, Peace Power has taken it a step further offering its customers the ability to lower their carbon footprint by purchasing renewable energy certificates (RECs) to offset their consumption. One REC certifies that 1 MWh of audited renewable power has been placed onto Alberta's grid. Peace Power purchases its RECs from low-impact biomass generation facilities that have been EcoLogo-certified by Environment Canada. Residential and commercial customers of Peace Power can choose to green any percentage of their monthly consumption thereby reducing their environmental impact and supporting the development of new renewable generation in Alberta.
